I was at a friends house partying like crazy. Truck was full of gas, backup truck was full of gas, I had exactly zero dollars in anything electronic (bank, stock, etc).

I was at a friend's house with some friends, and I thought I was going to hit the fuse box to make all the power go out at midnight. I did.

hahahah

sitting in my little house in Cedar Rapids, with my prego wife, and I thought at least something was going to happen.

when it didn't, I went out in the back yard and let off some killer fireworks.

funny thing was, the TV station must have thought something was going to happen too. after the new years special, they ran some crazy ass documentary of a 1965 Tornado that hit the city. it was actually pretty interesting.

Never thought I would have spent new years eve 1999-2000 sober

At my grandparent's house with a couple of my cousins (I was 11 at the time), and no, I didn't think anything was going to happen..

-where was I in life? I was a freshman in college. in terms of a physical place? party at my friend's house in princeton, nj.

-my date was my ex-boyfriend's ex-boyfriend. I was still pretty pissed at my ex (we broke up in august, a few weeks before starting college... mutual-ish breakup. we got into a huge fight that we each equally started) and bringing someone who had just dumped him as my date seemed like a pretty good way to hurt him.

-not really, but I remember that long second right after the ball dropped where no one breathed before the chorus of "happy new year".
