i take it you haven't heard "let's get it started"

Kinda defeats whatever the meaning of the song was.

"In this context, there's no disrespect, so, when I bust my rhyme, you break your necks."

Disrespect whom? In the original, I think they were talking about disrespecting the "retards". So the edit is worthless, and the original is pretty worthless too.

the black eyed peas are so laughably terrible now its kind of sad.

they used to be kind of nice...i guess you could see underlying signs that if they were ever given the chance, they would add some random white girl with a busted face and nice abs to blow up MTV style. Their older CD's were the kind of stuff I could put on to get some poon, yet it was still hip hop.

will.i.am used to rap with blood of abraham and sht...=/

so, in conclusion...fck them

Thats why they have the edited "Lets get it started" version

Didn't they cut a new track with "started" instead of "retarded" for ABC to use during the NBA playoffs? God knows I heard it enough from the first game to the Game 5 wallop of the Lakers.

Speaking of the "retarded" thing, I saw a collection jar at a supermarket around here that said something along the lines of "Help Retarded Citizens." Heheh 😕

Supposedly the "retarded" is short for some musical term, ritardando, I believe, which means slowing down in tempo. I heard the chick from BEP give this explanation on the radio.
