200/min and 95/min on separate Mozilla tabs, while listening to web radio, that's not too bad

Could this be used for DOS?

Check out the site's FAQ. One of the questions is something along the lines of "why don't you just DOS, it'd be more effective?" to which they reply the current site is "art" (showing the images from the sites) and DOSing is illegal. So this may not be as effective but its legal, costs them money, and is "artistic" :p

I have a feeling that their bandwidth counter is a bit off, I am getting 300 KB/s on a 1.5 Mb/s line...

AT, Fark, slashdot, and PA though. That would bring any site to its knees.

Anybody know how you could modify the script to target items on your hard drive? I tried changing the targets list on the very bottom of the source, but it didn't work. My coding skills suck :p

Would be a fun way to test HDD transfer speeds.

I could just download ATTO or something, but this would be funner :p

It would be bad if the domains we're hitting got redirected by the domain owners, no?

By redirected, I mean to like...gov't sites and the like

The CPU? What is it, 500 MHz? That site only eats up 19% of my CPU.

Left it on overnight. When I woke up it was using 1.24gb of pagefile but I downloaded over 700k pictures. It's probably more but netscape froze at that number or something =P

Holy smokes! Task manager shows that I'm pretty much maxing out my connection. It really slows down my browsing. I'll leave it running for a little while though. :D

Just a home cable connection. Usually speed-tests at 2800-2900 kbps. (3000 kbps claimed, but I'm not complaining.)

EDIT: That should be bps, not Mbps.

EDIT 2: Man, I must be having a brain freeze. I don't know my Mb, Kb, or bits! Arrgh! It's kilobits per second.
