OK, So I've settled on these for my XMas Upgrade:

Swiftech H20-220-APEX ULTA CPU Liquid Cooling Kit
Swiftech MCW55 VGA waterblock
AMD Opteron 148 Venus
(and I removed the NEC DVD-burner from my list... realized I had an old Lite-On on my old system)

I decided on the Swiftech liquid cooling kit because it has a radbox that comes stock with the kit for easy external mounting. Someone said it looked ghetto mounting the radiator externally, BUT when and if I find the time/skills to cut some holes above the top two 5 1/4 bays, I can mount it internally. It works if I ever want to put it inside 🙂
questions on the swiftech
There's the Ultra and the Extreme versions. Xoxide still has the extreme (though out of stock) for around $70 less. THe only difference is the CPU waterblock is the STORM and not the APOGEE like in the Ultra. Is the APOGEE really worth the extra money?

E4 = San Diego (or whatever that's called as an Opteron). Every single-core Opteron is an E4 (yes, even a cabbage) and every dual-core Opteron is E6.

They had that kit for $159 sale at Performance-pcs site down now...

They had that WB for $28..

Great choices but Shop around man..

Personally I'd get this kit $129

Better block in so far as not clogging..and much better pump.. silent and small.

Then get larger rad the 2 x 120 for $40

Get MCW50 for $28
Is the APOGEE really worth the extra money?

Same as MCW6000 performance..look at them they are basically built identically with pin array. Apogee better with heat spreader and worse w/o than strom which is a better localized cooler..
