Clean/renewable energy jobs outnumber fossil fuel jobs by about 2.5 to 1 in the US and employ more people in nearly every state than fossil fuels. The market trends and forces have way more of an impact on jobs in the two energy sectors than any empty campaign promises or promise of pork to create X number of jobs in renewables imo. It appears to me that renewables are standing and creating jobs nowadays on its own merits and financials. Politicians trying to create jobs to score points seems to leave us with the Solyndra's and (insert your favorite military industrial complex example here).
