I've learned a lot of British from watching Top Gear. I actually catch myself almost referring to the trunk as the "boot" somtimes D:

Right-o, Bob's yer' uncle, Becka's yer aunt. I actually say that quite a bit, especially the "right-o" bit.

I would have a bad feeling for calling anything a lolly as it sounds to much like a lolli.

Saying out loud you want to suck on that "lolly / lolli" could be a issue. :p

If you want to compare UK and US english, just open pretty much any thread made in the last 9 months. Necktard's basically high jacked every single one of them.

dumpster = skip
rubbish = garbage
saveloy = hotdog variant
i love you = cigarette

Do we want to venture in to the wild world of cockney rhyming slang?

apples and pears = stairs
trouble and strife = wife
