Let's be proactive about the Xbox 360 launch...

In just nine days, the Xbox 360 will launch. This is going to cause A LOT of threads to be created, probably in most every forum. Everything from availability issues, game likes/dislikes, backwards compatibility cheers/boos, potential deals, etc...

(Personally, I think we should add a CONSOLES forum, but if that doesn't happen, then I think the SOFTWARE - APPS, PROGRAMMING AND GAMES forum should have CONSOLES added to them.)

And if we aren't going to do that, then (at the very least) a XBOX 360 sticky should be added to whatever forum is deemed most appropriate. Add to that a sticky in a few of the other forums stating that Xbox 360 posts belong in *WHATEVER* forum.

And HOT DEALS probably could use a sticky of its own, to house Xbox 360 deals.


I just really think it would be very wise to be proactive about this. Because, lots and lots of space and energy will be wasted if we are just left to run amok!

Whats the rules on price gouging on Xbox 360's via FS/FT forums?

I can already see the 1000 "FS/FT XBOX360 ONLY $800!!!!" threads now.

Any chance we can head this off at the pass before it ruins the non 360 threads?

Do you not understand the simple concepts of supply and demand? How is it price gouging? Something is only worth however much someone will pay for it. If something sells for $800...its is worth $800. Maybe not worth $800 to you...but that may not be saying much.

I remember the PS2 fiasco and how people came here and created new accounts to just spam the forums with their PS2's.

Mods locked it down then and hope they do this time as well.
