Let's all chip in and buy this ship!

wow pretty cheap for its size.. 500HP though.. how the heck is that going to move the ship?

EDIT: nm just enlarged the pic.. looks a lot smaller than I thought it was.

It's 250 feet. Still big for 500hp, but I guess it works. I suppose we should keep in mind that while a Dodge Viper has equivalent HP, it's using about 20hp for highway cruising. This engine may be capable of making 500hp continuously.

For Reference

(2) An oil tanker, whether enrolled or registered, of forty to one hundred and twenty-five thousand deadweight tons may proceed beyond the points enumerated in subsection (1) if such tanker possesses all of the following standard safety features:

(a) Shaft horsepower in the ratio of one horsepower to each two and one-half deadweight tons

Viper GTS

thats ssllllllllloww

My grandpa's 35 footer has 800 hp, and my uncles new sea ray has 850 and it's only 33.

I'm afraid out at sea most everyone would turn into not just pirates... but BUTT PIRATES ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!

wouldnt you like a nice offshore cigarette boat for pirating??? i mean... how are you gonna catch a ship with that slow thing?

Horsepower is not what matters here, it's the torque... When will you guys ever learn?

It's a boat. Torque doesn't matter since it can be geared to whatever you want, and that may not even be necessary.

I love that you just compared a container ship to speed boats...of course it's slow.
