Never had experience with it before - is one client better than another for better connections or less annoying?
(Dell 700m)
Thx

(searched for intel, nothing came up)

XP Wireless Zero Config may not have full support for all you need (if you are on a secured corp wireless net, for example). IIRC it does not support PEAP or PEAP-GTC, May support LEAP. CKIP I've never tried with WZC

 yep - if you need things like LEAP authentication you'll need the Intel drivers, otherwise it's up to you. If using XP make sure you've got SP2 as the Wireless configuration is greatly improved

I've personally had flaky experiences with the Windows Zero Config utility. Without using the card's driver set, the connections would drop out and lose connection with the WAP very often. My latest problem with my Linksys WMP54G was fixed by downloaded the latest set and utility from their site. Once it was loaded, my connections are now stable and have not disconnected.

I've experienced this issue with an Atheros G card in a Toshiba laptop and with my new Linksys WMP54G desktop cards.
