Let the squirrels loose

Kids brought these two babies squirrels home. They fell 30' out of their nest, during the hurricane last year, and hit the boat dock face first. Both had bloody noses. They were only about a month old. Long story short, raised them for the winter, and cut them loose today. Both were fat and happy. Took them about an hour to get used to the idea, and then they were gone. Hope they move into the nest box I built for them.

Hey, that's cool. 😀

When I was 12, I raised a baby bird that was the only surviver of a fallen nest only to have my grandmothers cat kill the thing just after it learned to fly. :brokenheart:

Well that's the way it goes. Cats gotta' eat, too. These things are wild and don't make good house pets. They're in the hands of Mother Nature now.
