Completely retarded how you have to use the flashlight on its own to see a monster most of the time and are unable to defend yourself. I can understand the other 2 handed weapons, but the pistol is 1h. No reason he can't realistically hold his flashlight in other hand.

it isn't really that "hard" or "slow" to toggle back and forth . . . you can always bind a mouse key.

maybe a "patch" will allow us to pick up some "duct tape" along with armor. ;)

It's a serious PITA. i can't decide whether they did it to control difficulty or to add suspense. Bottom line is that it is severely limiting and in moments incredibly frustrating. I've learned to deal though.

I think not being able to hold a flashlight at the same time makes it scarier. The flashlight is retty strong anyway. Whack a zombie twice with it and they die. Saves a lot of ammo too.

It's a weird way to make a game more challenging but it doesn't severely hinder your killing ability. Of course it adds to the feeling cause you feel almost defenseless when you're not holding a gun. Some duct tape would be nice but it's almost all the same to me.

My only gripe about the flashlight is if you have it out and pull up the PDA. The game forgets your last weapon and pressing the flashlight button doesn't do anything. This has killed me more than a few times. You can work around it by switching to the PDA with a weapon, but they need to patch this bug.
