...that Piano Man is starting to do research on a term paper that is worth 40% of his Jazz History grade, which just happens to be due in less than 10 hours (9:00 AM CST, Monday). Minimum of 15 pages and has to comply with MLA standards. My topic is on the Biography of Oscar Peterson. My ass is F*CKING TOAST!!!!! WHY DO I PROCRASTANATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Please send sympathy, I'll keep you posted on progress.

Sympathy, HELL!!! Oscar it tops! :D

I have big hands. I can stretch for twelve keys. I play tenths and elevenths with decent articulation of the notes in between. Oscar is reputed to be able to span two fscking octaves. Rachmaninoff would have loved him!

One of my favorite all time videos (I wish I owned it, but I have only seen it on PBS) is a duet with him and Andre Previn. Yikes! :D

Nice, I'm doing a book report, minimum of ten pages in MLA format, etc. Then I have to compare the book, A People's History of the United States, with my U.S. History textbook, all due tomorrow. I know I should not procrastinate, but it's just so hard not to.. :(

Russ, Jazz Performance just so happens to be my major, and jazz history is no easy class. Although the paper is lightweight, most of the grade of the class is being able to identify players and songs that he plays. Given that we have about 500 people to memorize, its actually pretty hard, and a good ear is required. I was a Computer Engineer Major, but found it to be boring, so here I am. Don't know why I responed, oh wait, its becuase I am the MASTER OF PROCRASTANATION!!!!!!!!!!!

So, Russ, are you implying that Jazz History is easy? Because I don't see underwater basket weaving being easy at all!

Ouch. I've been in positions almost as bad and have come through. Caffine and sugar filled snacks are your best friend.:) Luckily for me, my school prevents teachers from assigning homework over Thanksgiving weekend.:D

I did, however, resolve to use this time to work on a huge paper of my own due Friday, but procrastination and these damned forums prevented that.:|

Hey pianoman, I just started my computer law paper, it's also a 15 pager. I've got another 5 hours here at work to write it, but I'm up to 3 pages now. I started about 5 hours ago. We'll get through it, don't worry. Papers are the best when written under pressure. I've had almost 3 months to do this...

I'd say the day that you declared a Jazz Performance major, you screwed yourself.. not by procrastinating with this paper.
