Lesser of two evils to sell textbook. Half.com or Amazon.com

amazon for everything...selling AND buying...for selling they credit you partially for shipping charges... overall it ends up being lower than half...half is a rip

Depends on the book. Why not directly to eBay (rather than Half.com)?

This was a study guide someone was throwing out where I've been working recently. While I am not presently a student, I thought I would at least offer it up on eBay. It retails for less than half of the auction value.

I remember I did a quick comparison once. Half.com has lower comissions for books like less than $150. Both reimburse you for shipping charges. IMO, the reimbursement is wayyyy too low.

That and IINM, Amazon's shipping reimbursement is more realistic.
Half.com's is kinda retarded. Come on, ~$5 for shipping a 3lb or so book expedited?

Use media mail. I've never had any book cost more than $3.50 to ship.

Amazon only gives $.48 more if its Paperback and $.45 for Hardcover so no big deal there.

We've sold several books through Amazon. Was easy as pie. Always shipped Media Mail, was always less than the reimbursed shipping amount.
