Less than 1 week remaining!

Haven't seen any of them yet. I might just watch them all at once.

(I say that about Star Wars too, never seen any of them in their entirety, wth is wrong with me? 🙂 )

I haven't been so worked up for any movie, maybe when the new Starwars came out I was psyched. I hope DNR is a good movie.

‎97% so far on RT..."Potent and provocative, The Dark Knight Rises is the King Daddy of summer movie epics. "

Tried to buy tickets for the first Saturday showing today, but Cineplex's app and website both suck so it's not working. Guess I'll have to walk over there.

I re-watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on the weekend to get ready.

This will be the first one that I will see in IMAX. Thank God Nolan said no to 3D - that crap gives me a headache.

Are you African American? Because if you're not, you can not use that term for what you're referring to.

Actually the genitalia are often a darker pigment than the rest of the body.

Hope it's good. It sucks that Ledger died, though. I thought he made a great Joker

Christy Lemire posted a negative review... over 500 comments in response 😀.

Although, I guess I can't blame the nerd outrage much after reading her review. This was probably the oddest part to me...

Hardy can be sexy and charismatic (as he proved in “Inception&#8221😉 but also a dangerous and unpredictable figure. None of that is on display here. He’s all brute force.

😵 I'm not sure why she expects Bane to be suave.

Hahah, I saw that earlier and lol'ed.

Maybe she was wanting a textured, complex performance such as the Joker. But I don't think that truly suits who Bane was in the comics.

I'm not that excited. After all the hype for the The Dark Knight, after finally seeing it about 2 months after release the only thing that impressed me was Heath Ledger's performance.

Don't get me wrong, it was an entertaining movie, but I honestly don't like most of the actors chosen for their roles (including Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal) except for Ledger and Oldman (Caine was acceptable as Alfred) and I didn't like the overloaded plot. I especially didn't like the cell phone tapping aspect (it was a lazy plot device, maybe just to squeeze in a bigger role for Morgan Freeman, I don't know), and I think the modern incarnation of Batman relies too much on technology versus the old (non-cinema) Batman who was more of a detective, albeit with a lot of fun gadgets. Everything with Harvey Dent was unnecessary, in my opinion, and I think if they dropped the entire "Dent is our hope" bit and the Two Face backstory it would have made for a better movie - they could have squeezed that into a movie all its own. But that's just me.

Maggie Gyllenhaal's character is also the blandest leading lady in a superhero movie I have seen thus far. I still don't get all the rave reviews praising her after The Dark Knight came out. Someone needs to explain that to me.

Someone will feel inclined to tell me how wrong I am and how The Dark Knight was such a great movie and how The Dark Knight rises will likewise be fantastic. I think The Dark Knight was a good movie and I'll probably watch The Dark Knight Rises (clever title, really) but probably only after the hype dies down.

I agree 100% with this post. Bale isn't a good Batman to me. That voice he does is annoying as hell... they should've just let Kevin Conroy do the Batman line parts 😛
