Less hair = More modern human being?

same number of follicles, but hair doesn't always grow out of them.

and why does less hair automatically = more evolved? and having gone through more genetic mutations doesn't necessarily mean it's better. Without active selection, the phenotypic changes a species observes is just stochastic mutation. Who knows, maybe if it gets cold again the hairless asians will die.

just think of it evolutionarily... you lose what you don't need because it takes energy to make something useless. if we don't need the hair because we're keeping warm and we don't need scent wicks to attract mates anymore, then we don't need the hair as much anymore.
