Less expensive alternative to LCD computer monitor?

I know that this has been discussed before, but it seems that since you need an LCD computer monitor above 24 inches to display 1080 and the price jump is huge between 22 inch and 24 inch what about this TV:

It seems to have very positive reviews and is reasonably priced.

That's a great price on a 26" LCD TV, but it has the resolution that a widescreen 15.4" laptop might have. When you buy a 22-24" LCD monitor you're paying for the higher resolution, not just size.

actually, thats standard 720p HDTV resolution, and realistically, a bit too low to use as a computer monitor in my opinion. most 15.4 laptops actually have a 1680x1050 display (AFAIK, mine does) and all the 22" LCD's also use a 1680x1050 resolution. It is a tough spot, but i would suggest saving for a 24" lcd if you need true 1080p.
