Wow, what a douchebag answer. Thanks, dick. You must be well liked here

And you seem like completely the opposite

Are you planning to overclock the cards heavily (e.g. watercooled)? If not, a 1200W unit would be fine.

Trifire is not really recommended, it doesn't work well in a lot of situations. Tri-SLI on the other hand is ok.

EDIT: Why didn't you just post this in your existing thread?

This power supply is sitting in my computer room waiting to be installed. Have another GTX Titan coming in today.

In total, the power supply will be powering four mildly overclocked GTX Titans, an overclocked i7 4960X @ 1.40V, 32GB DDR 2400 memory @ 1.65V, nine Vertex 4 SSDs, a 4TB (4 platter) 7200 RPM HD, Blu-Ray player/burner, eight case fans, and an ASRock Extreme11 motherboard with a ton of integrated components.

We'll see how she holds up!

Opened up the box for the G1600 power supply. This came with it.

How am I supposed to plug this into the wall?

That's not the cord that comes with the G1600 sold new in the US.

But, it plugs in and the ground wire (yellow with a green stripe) is attached to the center screw of a US duplex outlet, because that center screw is connected to the ground lug on the outlet itself by the way the outlet is constructed, if it is a UL Listed outlet.

Apparently I received a Japanese power cord with the power supply. Bought it from Newegg. Not sure why they would package that cord for sale in the US.

I bought an EVGA NEX 1500 Classified yesterday thinking I would just return the LEPA G1600. It turns out the EVGA power supply has the same connector on the back as the LEPA, so I'm now using the AC cord that came with it on the LEPA. It's a nice 12AWG cord.

That would be my guess also, as they have outlets with a grounding (earthing) terminal for that type connection.

The EVGA cord is what should have come with the G1600.
It's a std. IEC C19 connector designed for 16A continuous (maximum).
Many Dell 1Kw PSUs in the XPS and Precision workstation series use this also.
Those cords are readily available online and Ebay for $20-$25.
Newegg should send you the correct cord if you complain and send a picture.

Lower wattage PSUs use a IEC C13 connector designed for only 10A continuous (maximum).
Generally somewhere around 1000-1200watts PSU rating is where PSUs have to step up to the C19 connector.
It's a good indication of whether a PSU can actually produce the wattage it advertises (continuously) or whether it's manufacturer's wattage rating is for some level that doesn't really matter much (such as peak).
It's kinda like audio amp or speaker ratings and how the numbers can be manipulated for advertising.

Received my Kill A Watt today. Ran some tests. This is with LinX AVX @ 10 threads / 20GB allocated while running Unigine Heaven @ 2560x1600 with all settings maxed.

Ran a few loops of Heaven. This is the highest reading I could capture.

The power supply didn't blow up and my house didn't burn down. Test = Success

It's not just Newegg, I bought mine from Amazon and it came with that same power cable.
