Just picked up GH2, looking for a cheap lens for close up shots for video. Any suggestions

Firstly, how cheap is cheap? Do you have a budget?

Secondly, how close up are you talking about? In other words, how much reproduction of size do you need?

1:1 is macro, or the object you are shooting is the same size as the sensor, like say a tiny bug would fill the entire frame.

If you mean macro, Raynox DCR-150 or if you really need it, DCR-250, pair it with the 45-200mm telephoto and go to manual focus.

If you mean you just want a telephoto then either adapter + telephoto of your choice or the 45-200mm, or the 100-300mm if you need serious reach, but it costs a lot more.

the panasonic 45-175mm could be had for ~$270 or the lesser 45-200mm, both are decent in video with power ois.
