Lens with filter hit the ground - lens is fine, but I can't remove this filter!!!

Any ideas? I'm concerned it bent the threading of the lens a little bit (the UV Filter is visibly bent at its own lip, so i'm assuming that it messed with the threading of the lens as well)

My 16-45 🙁 Such a workhorse!!!!

Good tools, Alfa! Those are worth having in the ol' kit. OP, make sure that the lens works completely - I have had a drop that showed no apparent damage, but the autofocus was not right.

Yeah that thing wont' help. This thing is locked on crazy because I think the threads bent.

The AF looks okay, but the filter was accidently dipped in some sulfurish hot springs, so it completely messed up the lense surface (luckily the filter was on tight enough that it didn't mess up the lens face!)

I guess to pentax it will go, and hopefully they won't rape me on costs. If they try to, I may sit out and wait to see what happens for a while with Ricoh and what they'll do with Pentax.

I already have those forms filled out (need to get them serviced anyways, been in some dusty areas), I just didn't try to actually pack the camera till last night, and that is when i realized the filter wouldn't come ovv

i use a rubber band when i can't take my filter off... the teeth usually will grip on the rubber better than our fingers! - the poor man's method..

Thats happened to me once. I soak in thin hot oil for a few hours then tried again and that worked. Spent another hour or so cleaning out the oil.
