Lens AF needs recalibration

I've got a Sigma 70-200 Non-Macro (so the older model). The AF seems to be off, it misses focus more than it should (like 80% of the time) and if I focus on a face or animal the shot will usually be sharp at the ears or shoulder, not eyes where I aim. So I'm thinking its time for a recalibration.

All my other lenses never miss, so I'd surmise that the problem is with the lens.

Should I send it to Sigma or to someone else? I've never done this before so I've really got no clue.

I'd say send it to Sigma. have you done a focus test with it, like on a tripod with a stationary subject?

I'll try tonight on a tripod, its been consistently off enough that I think it'll miss. Would be interesting to see at least. I'll also start looking around the sigma site to make sense of it all. ty
