Any Lenovo users out there? If so I'm considering Lenovo X series for some work lappies but having never used one myself since my T42 days what 6-7 years ago, hopefully somebody can help with these 2 seemingly small questions, but need first-person testimonials to get final approval here at work!

Projector: One issue with a past manufacturer laptop was on projectors the screen didn't output to both the laptop screen and projector screen at the same time (I forgot what "mode" it's called). On Lenovo's can somebody verify this will not be the case?

Docking Station: When laptop users here eject their laptops from their docking stations (like at 11am to go to a meeting) they don't automatically re-sync to the network when re-inserted into the docking station. Currently laptop users have to hit "synchronize" or some icon after re-docking. Any Lenovo users experience this?

If it's Intel onboard video expect it to be buggy and have poor drivers. It will do display clone but the driver control panel is clunky and even the better vista drivers crash pretty often. XP drivers are even worse.

I've got a T61p for a work laptop - I don't know if that fits your criteria since I don't have the X series.

You can use "Same display on notebook and monitor/projector" and it works fine.

At work we don't use microsoft for LAN connection, we use Odyssey Access Client. Basically when we dock the laptop it prefers the hard-wired connection and immediately connects, if it can. If not it stays on wireless. If Odyssy is configured correctly, once you undock it will pick up wireless again and use that.
