Lenovo Yoga

OK, I think I'm set on the Yoga

Question now is do i get the i5 4GB ram 128GB SDD for $920 ?

or do i step up and get the i7 8GB ram 256 GB SDD for $1299?

I'm quite certain the first one would fulfill my wife's needs, but the "techy" in me is finding it hard to resist the extra juice

Significant different, or negligible?

(sorry for the multiple posts but looking to make decision today)

I would avoid Yoga if you're sensitive to fan noise. The fan kicks on pretty much all the time even when you're just web browsing and the fan noise is loud and super annoying.

First i've heard of this....interesting

similar alternative?

I have the 4GB i5 with 120GB SSD flavor, and absolutely love it! It's a very slick machine.

There's actually another mSATA port underneath the keyboard. I've been meaning to get another drive to pop in there. Might upgrade to 8GB as well.

Is it weird having the keyboard on the backside in "tablet" mode?

TBH, I've rarely used it in complete table mode. It did feel a little strange, but I do know that they make a case for it that will cover it up.

Just being able to touch and drag the screen is a huge deal for me.

i5 would be fine for the vast majority of things, imo. Upgrade to 8GB later.

I'd probably wait for a Haswell refresh though.

OK - there is no evidence that it was moved - I never visit OT. Sorry! 🙂
