This looks like a pretty good deal, but I've heard that the screen isn't great. Anyone using one of these care to comment? Thanks.

I have the Sandy Bridge Core i3 version of this and the screen isn't that great. The color gamut is severely limited compared to a higher end laptop screen. Color gradients that are similar tend to "wash out."

Best Buy also had an Asus Core i5 with similar specs and a MUCH better screen for $449 about two weeks ago, not sure if that's still the case.

Not bad for 500 buckazoids.

That said, unless you need a new laptop now, no reason to buy this one.. always the same deals for the same price, just newer tech.

Screen sucks badly.. my brothers cheap HP Athlon P340 laptop that cost $299 at BBY looks a lot better than it. hell it looks like IPS panel compared to the Edge's
