Can anyone suggest which of the two laptops is best for software development.

Price, CPU and screen size are more or less the same. Asus is OLED touchscreen, thinkbook is IPS no touchscreen. Asus has no power delivery on the USB C port and Thinkbook has no HDMI port. Asus RAM is not expandable.
Durability, especially of hinges, is important but they both have aluminium case and pass MIL-STD 810G.
The thinkbook is the generation two model not the gen 3 model.
