lenovo refurb?

my wife and i are looking at a lenovo refurb from their outlet.

anyone have experience with a refurb from lenovo? is it worth the savings or should i spend slightly more and get a new, lesser model?

looking at an r61 or r61e

I have never had a problem with a factory refurb. (As opposed to a retail vendor refurb.) It gets a 100% inspection which is much more than a new production model gets. Such as refurb would represent excellent value.

That would be no different than for a regular production model. The same warranty applies. I have had seven LCD units and never seen a dead pixel.
