Hey i just picked up one of those Lenovo HTPC keyboards (the new backlit version) and this thing has major issues where it will randomly scroll up and down web pages.

A perfect example is say i'm in a firefox window, if i hold the unit in the palm of my hand and randomly push the volume/mute buttons...the web page will randomly scroll up or down! WTF!

I was wondering if anyone else has one of these and if they had any issues like that with it?

It does this on my HTPC running windows 7 and my thinkpad also running 7 :(

I have it, both the back-lit and non back lit version, never had any problems like that. Sounds like a typical key association problem. does it do that in other browsers? You might want to try to uninstall the and reinstall the keyboard driver... I don't remember getting any CD with them but you might want to check their website for drivers...

Well i tried it on the thinkpad too and it did the same thing :( .

I tried it in an explorer window in a folder and it did the same thing still.

I noticed though that the problem occurred less when the power switch was in the backlight disabled mode....so I think it is pretty much a problem with the unit sadly.

I know this is a necro bump. But, I had this same problem and this video actually fixed it. Took less than 10 minutes and the keyboard works perfectly now. I was confused at first if he meant to solder them or just contact them with a wire. It was just a momentary contact that was needed.

No more random scrolling.
