I feel like I'm the only person on the planet that actually has bought this tablet, since I rarely see anyone mention it. But the Lenovo Lynx is selling for $350 to $380 lately and I ended up picking one up from Best Buy recently to give it a try.
Recap for those not familiar with this, it's an 11.6 inch Windows 8 Atom tablet. It's in Lenovo's Ideapad line, so their lower end tablet. Definitely had a cheap plasticky build to it, the buttons rattle, and the edges feel a bit rough.
I bought a $23 Moko portfolio case, and that case helps hide the ugly and cheap feeling of the tablet.
Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying the keyboard dock. I sense buying an 11.6 inch large tablet if you can't put it into a dock and make it a netbook. But my god, everything bad people have said about the keyboard is apparently true. This is the absolute worst keyboard I've ever typed on. Ironic that the Thinkpad line is famous for it's great keyboards, I guess Lenovo wants the Ideapad to become infamous for it's terrible keyboards.
This keyboard has me feeling so bad right now I might just return the tablet and keyboard. No since getting a good deal on something if it sucks. The tablet is actually okay, but if I just wanted to use only the tablet, I'd rather have a 10.1 inch size.
A few comments about the tablet portion. The display looks decent, it's IPS, not great colors, but not bad either. I don't see much backlight bleeding. The speakers are actually a surprise, they sound good for a tablet and are loud, easily above average tablet speakers in my experience. The plastic back has some texture pattern on it, but the tablet is still slippery, which is why the Moko case really helps.
I'd like a Windows 8 tablet, but I just haven't found any I like. The Samsung 500T was too glossy and slippery. The ASUS ME400 drivers and software were really buggy last year and the speaker horrible, but I'm thinking of giving this another try if I decide I want to give up on a tablet with a keyboard.
