I've been debating an upgrade for a few months now (have a T40p), but I think I'd like to hold out for the newest tech. Haven't been able to find any word on it at all though!
 
Nope. Core 2 Duo (aka Merom) hasn't even been announced yet, and the T60 series was just released in January so we'll be lucky to see a Merom-only upgrade in a couple months.

I'm meeting with Lenovo in a couple weeks, I'll ask.
 
T60 is not yet old and with T43 and T42 still around it would probably be next year when Lenovo comes out with core 2 duo thinkpads.
