LMAO!! I'm sitting here watching Law & Order and Lennie just ripped another one :) Him and Greene are tracking down leads on this supposed suicide by fire. They're out on the town doing their thing and Greene gets a call to go down to the ME's office. He's got results from the autopsy which showed that the chick had actually been strangled before being set on fire.

Then Lennie in his classic deadpan emotionless stare says "Guess we can stop looking for that suicide note now"

Hahaha, cracks me up every time :D

Anyone remember the episode where Lennie (rather, the man who plays him) played a defense attorney? He looked totally like a seedy ambulance chaser. ;)

Yep, Fred Thompson is stepping out of the Senate for this job. He always plays good roles though

In fact, wasn't that character's name McCoy? Maybe even Jack McCoy?

Kinda funny, since Orbach made that first appearance during Michael Madsen's run as ADA Ben Stone.

Yep, and remember the show where the gal who plays Van Buren played a cleaning woman? What a transition.

My ALL-TIME favorite Lennie-ism/scene is from "Rebels" (Season 6, Episode 112, original air date 9/27/95):

Briscoe and Curtis (his very new partner) go to a biker bar, where they try to locate a particularly bad-ass biker.
The dude makes a racist slur to Curtis, who draws his gun on the guy.
A gang of bikers close ranks around them...altho Briscoe manages to barely defuse the situation by convincing Curtis to back off.

As they hurry to their car...

Briscoe: And just what was that?
Curtis: You don't get any respect unless you're willing to kick a little ass!
Briscoe: Oh, I would have respected the HELL out of those guys if they had kicked our asses!

CLASSIC LENNIE!!!!

lmao, I watch LAO all the time, but I don't remember that one specifically - it's hilarious though. I'm not sure about Briscoe's wise cracks anymore. Sometimes there's a funny one here or there, but they freaking pack the show with like 10 or 20 of them that it just gets dumb after a while, to me anyhow. Not to the point that it's really that annoying, but where you find yourself saying "Oh here comes another one." and then sighing after he says it (a lot of them seem WAY too cliche). Although, you gotta love the way Briscoe delivers them, he is great at that.
