Length of a GTX 260..? Can it fit into Antec Sonata Elite?

Hey guys,

Quick question...
Just wanted to know if an nVidia GTX 260 will fit into an Antec Sonata Elite case.
Specifically Gigabyte GeForce GTX 260 OC 896 MB (Core 216).
I am looking around the internet and some sites say it's length is 9.5" where as others say 10.5". The official site does not show the dimensions.

Thanks to anyone that can help me.

I have a Sonata III and it fits. the space alloted is 11"
Does that mean that you absolutely can't fit an 11.5" card like the 5970 even if you wanted to? Or you could if you sacrifice one or two drive bays that it would hit? (by sacrifice, I merely mean "leave unused", so put your HDs on a higher or lower bay, not "saw off the offending drive bay").

Thanks for any info, interested in a Sonata III 🙂

You can't fit it in. There's an unmovable steel frame that holds the HD chasis in place. You can pull out the Hard Drive Chasis but not the thick steel frame.

You'll need a new case for the 5970 which is actually a 12" card not 11.5.

Hey.
I have a Sonata Elite and the GTX260 should fit, regardless of its being 9.5 or 10.5 inches long; there's 11 inches of space in the case.
