Lending Tree (YAHBT)

My wife and I are ready to make the leap into home ownership, we're kicking the last of our our kids out of the nest in 2 months and want to get a low maintenance condo. Our credit isn't great, I think my fico is 670. It was suggested to me that I check out lendingtree.com. I have veterans benefits and plan on going no down, no points, no closing costs. Any experience with lending tree?

From stories I've heard - stay away. Your info gets distributed to companies that are often less than desirable to deal with, and you end up inundated with offers and solicitation from companies you'd really want to steer clear of. Just do the legwork and call some local lenders to compare rates instead, you'll be much happier.
