Leiden Classical issues, Q&A

Howdy, feel free to ask or answer here, regarding Leiden Classical.

I'll start. 🙂 ONE of my six crunchers is not getting work for the project. It has gotten work in the past, but not lately.

Things I've already tried:
1. Resetting Project
2. Removing then reattaching to project
3. Updating, Updating, and Updating
4. Suspending all other projects
5. Adding a day to the queue

.

Thanks for the reply Pete.

Well that figures: I go back and check and yep, I have WU's now. It just wanted to watch me embarrass myself by complaining before it would send me WU's. 😉

Make sure the "Work Buffer" is large enough that the "Event Log" says "Requesting new tasks for CPU" after you "Update". It is important that it says for "CPU", sometimes some projects will say "GPU" if the buffer is not big enough even though it is a CPU project 🙄

Also, if the buffer is large enough you can get quite a few WUs - maybe enough to get through the times when there are no WUs.

And I hate to say I told you so about iffy WUs for Leiden 🙂

***begin rant***

5 of 6 machines are happily crunching away at Leiden, with days of WU's. But that ONE machine, lol, appears to be stubborn. It will NOT get any work.

It is identical in hardware to another machine, nearly identical in hardware to an additional 2 machines (vid cards different), identical in software (recent Win7 install and same BOINC client) to 3 other machines.

Oh well, going to run Edges on it I suppose.

Additional weirdness, across other projects and other machines:

Some obey the Resource Share, some seem to obey it in reverse. 😕

***end rant***

Lack of work isn't my problem, this has been going on for over 2 weeks on this machine, it always had other tasks, but (almost) never picked up LC, whereas the other machines had a nice mix, always including some LC tasks.

I didn't care too much then, wasn't racin'! 🙂 But even with less than 200 tasks available, there are still tasks AVAILABLE, I just ain't gettin' 'em on this one 'puter. 🙂

EDIT:
i7-920: 453 tasks
i7-5820K: 684 tasks
Xeon #1: 654 tasks
Xeon #2: 692 tasks
Xeon #3: 706 tasks
Xeon #4: 2 tasks. WOOT! 2 tasks. 🙂

(Looks like they time out in a bit over 4 days, so I grabbed 4 days worth on each machine)

I have thirteen computers begging for work from LeidenClassical. Right now, six of them have between 10 and 15 tasks. That's more than they usually have. The rest have zero...
