I haven't played these games before so I'm excited to get a copy with my Christmas gift cards. The problem is, I have a 360 now. I'm sure the 360's graphics are on another level, but I prefer using the Wii controllers. Does anyone have any input if one version is better than the other?

EDIT: My fiancee is house-sitting for a friend for the new few weeks, and they ended up getting it for the Wii for their son. They let me borrow it while they are gone, so it looks like the dilemma solved itself. I had made the decision to get it for 360 too.

The only thing I would be worried about is if they tacked on lame motion sensing controls for the Wii.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like a game where that would have a place. I got the 360 version, mostly because achievements will give me a reason to keep playing after I beat it (if I can get my wife to stop collecting cards in The Simpsons Game long enough so I can play :|)

I haven't played it before, but couldn't you use motion sensing for the light saber? Been thinking of picking it up for my Wii, along with Paper Mario.

wikipedia: lego star wars complete saga

the wii does allow for lightsaber use via motion control. itd be similar to twilight princess, id think, with a small handful of moves. the wikipedia article has a lot of info on it.

i have lego star wars II for the GC and love it. its loads of fun.

Well since you actually like the wii controls, saying "360 is a no-brainer" would not be comparable to your situation..

I will say its quite a bit of fun on the 360, the only part I really dont like is the vehicle levels (personal preference really).

I also especially enjoy the online co-op.

Anyone else have any input? I am going to make the purchase tomorrow and leaning towards 360...

I got the 360 version for my son for Christmas and it's great. Better than the PC versions as far as controls go. Graphics seem improved too. Can't comment on the wii.

I have the game for the PS3, which is nearly the same as the 360 version. The only difference is that some parts of the game can be played with the six axis of the PS3 controller, however I never choose to use it. I really don't see how motion controls would be useful in a game as simple as this.

Anyway, I have a blast playing Co-op with my girlfriend. Its a new way to force feed her sci-fi legacies.

I only have a GC and now a Wii (gave to my daughter for xmas). I'd be interested in knowing.

I did see Lego Star Wars on my nephews Xbox 360 and was impressed by the graphics - it was pretty cool and might like getting it myself. I really need to get a better TV as my Magnivox 27-inch tube TV has fuzzy picture using standard inputs and the GC. I wonder if the picture would be substantially sharper with the Wii or GC with component inpurts - my TV has S-video and Component too.

BTW, anyone play Lego SW on the DS Lite? Is it anygood?

Lego sw on ds lite is bleeeh, after playing the 360 and Wii versions. The multiplayer for the ds is really donkey balls. Can only play death match.

I bought component cables for my Wii and immediately noticed a difference in quality compared to the regular old composite cables. This was on a ~27in CRT TV for 7 bucks (from monoprice) you can't go wrong.
