We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. In the past Lego used a stripped down form of C called NQC (for not quite C). The RCX (the brain) cannot process floating point numbers... I didn't know this and it caused ALL KINDS of problems when I had to TA a lab.
EDIT: Apparently the software is now being powered by LabView, which means the programming will be very intuitive and graphically based.

There are many different programming languages for the Mindstorms. The Lego provided ones are pretty easy to use. When I screwed around with them I also used NQC. Coming from a C++ background it was easy to pickup.
There are probably .NET based languages, Java, etc.
