Me and the kids are LOVING it thus far.
WAY better than LEGO Batman and Indy (not that hard of an accomplishment).

GREAT fun if you like Harry Potter and LEGO

Which console do you play it on? My wife is a big Harry Potter fan and I bought a Wii for her for Christmas last year, so I thought about buying it for her.

The SO and I got 100% on lego star wars and it was a blast.

I plan on picking this game up for PS3 when I get back in town.

360. But we've played other LEGO titles on the Wii too (like SW) and they were just as good/great.

I thought lego Batman was fine... Indy wasn't very good though. They're so similar though it's hard to say exactly WHY people like some over the others. Guess it all comes down to the license and characters you enjoy more, which is why they're making so damned many of them.

Got 100% a few days ago. It was great fun, and I agree that it was better than Batman and Indy (especially Indy 2).
The difference in the games is atmosphere. I enjoy the HP movies, so hearing the music and using the familiar characters was a plus for me.
If anyone needs help, let me know!

Here are a few tips that get asked about the most about this game:
The items that have red sparkles are used by evil characters, and the first chance to get one is in Year 4, Chapter 1.
Professor Flitwicks classroom has two entrances (on either side of the face on the wall). They are different, so go in both to get full completion!
The snakes that pop out of baskets are usually used to scare a character, you just have to find a way to get a character next to it.
Using codes/red brick cheats do not affect achievements, there are a few you HAVE to use them to get.

I get the red mailboxes are like the canisters in LEGO SW, and there have been a few laying around in some of the levels I've compelted (on Year 2 Chap 3 right now). I have NO Idea what to do with the mailboxes though.

What I find interesting about LEGO HP is that there are really not that many chances to die. It's mainly just about running around and figuring out the (cute) little puzzles they created on every level.

Red mailboxes unlock "cheats". You take the mailbox and give it to the owl (always found nearby) and he flies off with it. At that point you go to the Owl shop on Diagon Alley and go upstairs (yes, there's an upstairs!) and that's where you buy the "cheats" such as stud multipliers, etc.
