need a asterick password revealer that is legit - not some malware stealing a password. this is for the yahoo messenger program - wife can't remember the password and now she is going to move to running a ubuntu vm and needs to access her email....

please assist,

it asks about personal info - she didn't use actual personal information because of not wanting to be searchable 🙁. she can get into the acct, but to change it asks to use the old password and i can't copy it from the yahoo manager program. anybody know where it is stored on the machine? any programs, hell even if i have to pay? i use to use one a long time ago that worked well, but this was probably 10yrs ago and can't remember what it was. i just don't want to install something that isn't any good or basically spy/malware...
 
she found a link from inside of yahoo to do it that doesn't require the password 🙂 - just uses the alternative email acct on file. thanks for the help 🙂
