Don't believe the bad press on this game, it's actually awesome, and at practically half the price of all other new games, it's a great value.

And if it pulls in enough sales in the end we may actually be able to see an even more spectacular sequel.

I recall seeing print ads, but have heard nothing about the game itself.

from what i heard, it got trashed in magazine/online reviews cause the companies responsible for producing the game had some internal issues and had to pull out of a bunch of ads last minute, pissed off the wrong people and ended up with horrible ratings from the establishment for what's otherwise a great new game.

IGN gave the game a 2.3! on the PS3 ... that's practically unheard of unless the game doesn't even run and if you read the review the the review contradicts himself a couple times (in one part he dogs the game designers about the monsters being pulled straight from lore and then praises them for the great design) and the game actually sounds pretty good, with perhaps the exception of having built up extensive multiplayer options which may the one area the game is truely lacking in

As far as I'm concerned, you would be retarded to spend $28.99 (+tax and shipping?) for a game with a metacritic average of 48.

Its from the same people that made Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, quite possibly the worst game I have ever played.
You couldn't pay me to play it.
