Hi. I am interested in creating a file sharing website, as a project to improve my graphic and dynamic web page design. I realise it could be illegal, so i was just wondering whether there was any loopholes to allow the legal sharing of files such as music - ie, people upload their music to the site, and it gets listed for others to download? Just a quick post, want to get back to my sugar puffs :p thanks!

Well, let's just say it would be nice not to have your servers in the U.S. And you would need a LOT of space/bandwidth to do this, which is why file sharing networks are more succesfull.

Well i'm creating a site that hosts manga downloads in 2 weeks, only scanlated manga that hasn't been published in the US though. If you'd like to help, that would be good.

Good luck with that, but i assume there would be a lot of arty stuff, and i suck at art :p. Just beginning to master Paint.NET using layers and stuff hehe. If you are bad (/no knowlege of) php / mysql though and would like me to do some pages, then i suppose that would be good!

well yeh id thought have that, my idea was to create two upload sections: verified and unverified - unverified is a holding place where users could download files at their own risk, that would be in that section until an admin had checked it. But my idea has been bashed, so forget it now heeh.
