Cliffs: I'm looking for a flatbed scanner that will handle legal-size documents (8.5" X 14") for personal use, looking to spend less than $200. If you care why, read below.

Reasons: I want to scan in a few decades worth of family photo albums to distribute to my siblings electronically (probably on a few DVDs). The album pages are roughly 8" X 13", large enough to hold 3 4"X6" prints in a single column on each page. I'd like to scan a page at a time. I need a flatbed since I don't want to have to rip the pages out of the album for a feed-through scanner. I don't want to pull the photos off the page, either, because

1) Some of them are quite old and liable to be damaged
2) The pages have short handwritten comments next to the photos that I'd like to preserve as well.

Apparently the ability to handle legal size documents is a key feature for "professional grade" scanners, and all the ones I've seen have document feeders and other assorted junk that bumps the price up close to $1000. If anyone knows of an affordable flatbed legal-size scanner, I'd be very grateful.

TIA,
