Condominium. Pay mothly assesments. The condo assoc can levy special assesments to cover over runs or big issues. A/C, Heat, water, basic cable, garbage pick up and maint. are some of the things covered by the assesment.
2 years ago we had a special assesment to fix the building siding and the cooling units for the A/C. In the summer 2004 the A/C went down a number of times during the summer, a couple of days each time. So far this summer the A/C has stopped working at full capacity the hotest days of the year. I understand is hot and people are using the A/C more but then why fix the A/C. The AC should be fix to handle the capacity. There seems to be a lack of urgency to get things fixed. When they need money they are quick to make announcements but when things go wrong rarely do we hear anything. I am pretty vocal in the building and usaully try to get involve.
I am asthmatic, when is hot in my house I can barely breath and get a good night sleep.
Now my question is..basically is that I've had it. I've had it with the company hired to run the place and the issues around here. What kind of legal pressure or what can i do to get things done? I can't run for board pres for a while. I even setup a web site (blog) for the building but the board people don't give me info to post.
