ok i just bought a laptop (toshiba satellite 1005-S157) from PCMall and it's not here yet, but i suspect what they sent me doesn't match what's on their website.
Their website claims to include a LithIon battery, a composite video out port, and a NIC, among other things. However, toshiba.com begs to differ. Since it's most likely that those bozos at PCMall made an error, can i legally make them take it back and pay for all associated charges (including shipping) since this was technically THEIR fault? Or can i legally request that they give me what i paid for? i.e. send me a NIC, LithIon battery, and uhh well forget about the Composite out. I can handle not having that. Or am i just screwed legally, because they are "not responsible for typographical errors"?
Another thing...i asked my sales rep EXPLICITLY if that laptop had a NIC in it and he double checked and said "YES." Does this mean anything? Give me any more clout?
Thanks for the help...
