My sister-in-law's Mother bought my brother a turtle since as a kid growing up, he had two. The transaction was made in Illinois in a pet shop. My brother and his wife live in Wisconsin. The turtle looked sick so he took it to the vet. The vet claimed that the turtle is a endangered specie in Wisconsin and the state is going to ticket my brother $1,000 dollars.

Is there any legal fight for this? This is crap.

In Indiana, you can have one if it's for educational purposes, most commonly used in schools. Do Wisconsin have anything like that? Might want to make a donation to a nearby school.

Well I got more info. I guess if they get it out of WI they won't get the ticket. I guess I'll be taking it. Still sounds crappy. I can see about the school thing.
