Leg cramp while driving??

thatsright

Test drove a 2003 Nissan Maxima SE this weekend. LOVE the car, except what happened while test driving it. After about 20 minutes, my right foot, about 8 inches above the ankle, became extremely uncomfortable. Sever discomfort.

Anybody ever have this problem? Is it just because I'm not use to driving that maxima model? I soooo want to buy it, but if I still have that problem, ughh no deal.

While driving, I was resting my right leg up against the 'console' area. Thinking maybe I was cutting off the blood flow. Who knows...?? Thought maybe it was due to applying more pressure to the gas pedal than I'm used to?

Ever have this happen to you?

my eyes were tearing when i test drove the charger r/t... i think if i drove the srt8 they wouldnt have been like that

Yeah, I get this sometimes. It's when I've been doing upwards of 500 miles with only a small break, or if the seat isn't positioned correctly.
If you sit back in the seat, and stretch your arm out (don't pull forwards, just extend it), your wrist should be touching the top of the steering wheel. If not, adjust to suit. Those with longer legs will have a harder time of things.
The distance for your legs is somewhat difficult with an auto. The thing to do is to plant your foot on the floor to the left of the brake pedal, without straightening your leg. There should be a slight bend in it.
Some cars just have awkward driving positions. My last car raised my legs up too much so I got cramps after a while, but with the Focus I can have the seat lower-down and it's comfortable all day.
