Should be fine, as long as it wasn't sitting out for a long period of time.

You're kidding right? Eat it.

What ever happened to the smell test?

Actually, this thread did serve a good purpose. It reminded me that I still had some dessert left from Thanksgiving. I'm eating the remains of a pumpkin roll and a cheesecake - slice of each was left. I suppose karma might mean that my stomach is in for a world of hurt, but we'll see.

I'll eat anything my stomach can keep down, except pickled cucumbers. Those fucking suck.

It's been exactly one week since Thanksgiving. Unless your fridge isn't running properly or something got left out for a long period of time on one of the days since, everything should still be good to go. Besides, if it doesn't kill ya, it can only make you stronger!

Ok, there are a few exceptions. My family makes some kind of celery stuffed with a cream cheese / date spread. After the first two days, the celery gets mushy and no one wants to touch them.

That and fruitcake. Fruitcake expires the instant its very thought is conceived in someone's mind.

cooked: 1 day (bacteria slowly grows), still safe.

cooked: +3 days (unseen baterira will grow at accelerating pace), risky, but may be okay.

7 days max (sometimes visible bacteria and bad smell - extreme acceleration of bateria), very unsafe after day #8.

+2 weeks: potential health concerns may involve an emergency room visit.

reminder: certain bacteria cannot be destroyed in even the hottest cooking temperatures.

cooked: 1 day (bacteria slowly grows), still safe.

cooked: +3 days (unseen baterira will grow at accelerating pace), perfectly fine when refrigerated

7 days max (sometimes visible bacteria and bad smell - extreme acceleration of bateria),when refrigerated, dense foods like mac & cheese perfectly fine

+2 weeks: might taste a little stale but won't kill when refrigerated
reminder: The human species has been around for much longer than refrigeration.

I heard this almost verbatim the day after thanksgiving on the radio. I was surprised at these numbers, as I often eat leftovers between 3-7 days, and don't remember ever getting sick.

The mac and cheese might scare me if it's to the point where the milk has separated and is in a pool at the bottom of the bowl.

it's for worst case scenario situations where the immune system of a child or a grandparent when the immune system may be detrimental at times or when already sick. for middle aged, they might be able to bend a little bit more on the days extended. use your fvcken common sense.

just fvcken take food science at your university and quit bragging about how smart your body is, lol

That's much closer to my experience.
