Ok, I'm Brent aka Magus, I'm 19, I'm from Georgia, USA.... don't have a lot of money to do the stuff I want so I educate and speculate and spend when I can. Any other questions about me, just ask. I need some help, I'm looking for a single device rounded floppy cable that isn't a ridiculous 24 inches long, perferably 12 inches or less and white with the sheaths at either end, I'm not sure they are made, but those guys in the far east will figure it out soon... If they are made let me know please. I've checked most places, plycon, caseetc, pcmods, heatsink factory, the cardcooler, etc. Also does anyone know where you can get thumbscrews that also have a notch on top for a phillips head screwdriver? Thanks for your help, in advance. I hope I can soon call the forums home.
One more thing, why would my AOL e-mail address be banned from the forums?

I'll answer that last question. All AOL accounts and many other "free" type accounts are banned. It has nothing to do with "your" account.

Welcome to Anandtech Brent, If you havent much money, why not mod a standard floppy into a rounded one yourself?

Welcome Brent. I'm just up the road in S.C. Not sure where to get th 12" rounded cable that you requested but a lot of people have did their own. I don't think it is very hard to do.

Just get any old floppy drive cable and chop off the bit you don't need. It really is that simple. Do it with something real sharp though, and be swift, so as not to leave any bare wires contacting each other.

I know with IDE cables it's as easy as chopping off the 2nd half, but with floppy cables between the first and second connector they have that goofy flip of around 5 of the wires.

will that make the floppy recognized as 'B' instead of 'A' cause you loose the "flip"?
