Anyone know where I can find a complete list of which states allow left turn on a red light from one-way to one-way street? I know that it is legal in Va., but cannot find information for D.C., and I am curious about other states as long as I'm looking...

This link says that "most" states allow it, but I would like to know for sure...

Thanks!

According to the page you linked to:

It is illegal to turn left on a red light, even from one one-way road into another one-way road, in the city of New York and the Canadian Province of Québec. It is also illegal for school buses carrying pupils throughout New York State. Justin JIH (external link verified Aug-02) states that it is also illegal in Connecticut, Maine, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina (although a law is due to passed soon to permitting), Rhode Island, parts of South Dakota and Guam.

Nothing in there about DC.

I just checked, my state's website has a link to the DMV's website, which has a link to the PDF of the manual. Doing that for each state is probably your best bet.

www.state.ne.us is my state's website, looks like all states use that format.

Just curious so I don't get any more tickets. ; )

Unfortunately the DC DMV website is pretty much worthless, as tends to be the case with all of the DC government in general...

I'm pretty sure it's legal in Florida, because in some locations there is a 'no turn in red' for those situations while others there is no sign which, I could wrongly assume, means it's ok. Let's see...

<click click clickity click> some google searching and I found: Link

"Come to a complete stop at the marked stop line or before moving into the crosswalk or intersection. After stopping, you may turn right on red arrow at most intersections if the way is clear. Some intersections display a "NO TURN ON RED" sign, which you must obey. Left turns on red arrow from a one-way street into a one-way street are also allowed. "
