For about 3 hrs. Bacon I think was frozen, Costco brand, sausage was just refrigerated. Outside temp was about 75 degrees? You guys think they're ok still?

I put them both in fridge when I got home. Planning to use them sat. On a camping trip. Guess if we get sick we got the great outdoors to handle business.

At this time of year? You'll be fine. Car is basically a freezer. I leave groceries in the car all the time if I have other errands to run or stop to visit someone etc. Well depends what it is, if there's a case of pop I bring that indoors asap. Exploding pepsi in the car is not fun. Thankfully never had it happen. :p

Hey, I'm not hip to the ways of the interwebs. Post #6. Can I claim that as a lurker? Two posts in six years. Is there a form I have to fill out?

SOME TIMES GIRLS NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED

Sometimes I tell my GF to take a shower OR stay out of my bed.

Do you plan on eating the sausage raw?

If not, and you cook it, what do you fear might happen?

Blow a hole right through the bottom of the toilet, through the slab, and create a weakness in the earth's crust resulting in the release of a diatreme. No one wants to pick molten rock out their already butthurt butt even if you you do end up with a diamond encrusted colon.

You need to quote the lurker in your post. Then you just supply the link to this thread at the door to old's basement and receive a complimentary tub of lube.

Bacon has plenty of nitrates. Sausage has plenty of salt. Both act as preservatives. Chow down! (I disavow any responsibility for your condition as a result of following my suggestion)

75 Freedom degrees is about 23 Commie degrees. It's safe to say that he doesn't live in the frigid North.

Oh wow I missed that part, that's basically a day at the beach. Totally different ball game.

If it was 23C outside then it was probably like 40C in the car. For 3 hours you're probably still fine, but honestly I'm not sure if I'd chance it. Car was basically an incubator.

75 degrees is room temperature. It was only 3 hours. It would have been plenty cold for most of that time if initially frozen as OP suspects.

Remember: meat is not a modern thing. For a long time people didn't even have cars to get home and cook their stuff straight from the butcher. Even today it takes longer than that for the butcher to refrigerate it from whatever a freshly killed pig's body temperature is, and that's while it is still a warm never-frozen parasite-filled natural bacterial feast. A few hours at room temperature before freezing it again is only slightly more risky than defrosting on your kitchen counter. It will be FINE.
