Hi.

Way back, using an app I got, I turned the cursors I use most into left handed ones. I am wondering if other Southpaw members here who no way would try to adapt for what is wrong for us, have left handed cursor folders?

I will be happy to send mine if anyone wants them. I know we comprise only 10% of the population cross culturally, but still, we need what works for us.

You know it's just the tip that matters, right?
The orientation of the arrow doesn't actually mean anything...

Double entendre?

OK, assuming not, are you left handed? Hard to believe so, cause I am very, and trust me, it makes a huge difference. HUGE. There are many sites with merchandise for us. Anyone not left-handed---90% of humans--- does not get how we are hobbled in a right handed world and too many just capitulate.

The late Jimi Hendricks celebrated his only real passion (apart from females,I mean) playing guitar as the Southpaw he was born. But, early on, given his dad was shockingly ignorant, and actually thought being left handed was some kinda devil thing.....insisted he do everything right handed. And so, he wrote write handed until he died, used cutlery as his dad had insisted. His dad even yelled when he played guitar the way right for him when he was a kid.....the minute his dad left the room he switched. (I only recently learned all this.)

And, I do not switch my mouse buttons, I just use my index finger for both.

I think I have more Southpaw friends than average, and I have sent all of them my cursors and they are all thrilled. Tho a couple downloaded what they could from the net, and I think W7 includes some left handed ones, but they are lame.

You can download and install left handed mouse pointers (right leaning) from MSDN.

They're free! Enjoy!

THANK U, I AM GOING THERE. But I like to make my own. Yes, there are some really good ones online!

Can't wait to check this out!

Edit: K, I got the arrow. But it's lame and white and boring. Remember, I am not just left handed, I am also shallow:cool:....so I need fab shapes and colors, and I fiddle with the colors using my app, U can even make yr own shapes, and I also shade them! :)

But I truly love and am warmed by the gesture. I mean it.

Even though I am a southpaw, I first learned to use a computer with the mouse in my right hand, and it just sort of stuck. I have tried going left, but I am too stuck with the right at this point.

You went along? YOU??? I see a little object lesson there!

But, thing is, you truly are stuck with the right....tho only the luminous kind: the kind you earn over time re being sharp, kind/caring, elegant and accurate.():)

An added thought - for years I have used animated cursors for my mouse. Their movement tells me a lot - as long as they move, my system has not crashed or frozen. :)

K, I just had a nostalgia/wistful retro moment: way back, I think I was running W2K, I had this little set of animated mice cursors. I mean, actual little rodent mice. I esp loved the "busy" one, it has little mouse eating a block of cheese. I just remembered, and realized I miss them. :\

So, I delved and found them! Got them, unzipped them, put them in my W7 cursors folder.....and now, I will make the left facing mice into right facing mice for my southpaw brain.:D

For anyone as crazy shallow as I: http://cursors.funutilities.com/cursors/item/1900/Mice-and-cheese.html

Seriously, how adorable are these???????
