<< Left = Liberal = Democrat
Right = Conservative = Republican

Roughly...nothing is cut and dry.
>>

Extreme left is communism, extreme right is fascism. Left wants a larger government to more evenly represent people. Right wants a smaller government to stay out of people's lives. Left and right in the US are so close to the center, it's a mere dot on the grand scale

instead of polishing with THEORY i will say what those mean

Liberal or Democrat means that you want people to have equal rights when they are clearly not equal and you discourage people from actualy working and encourage people to lay on their ass and do absolutely nothing. in theory this is an excellent system but humans will naturaly avoid doing more than whas it needed, if you boss told you that you only needed to show up 5 hours per day to get the same pay would you still come to work 8 hours per day? no you would not

Conservative or Republican means you work for what you get, in the perfect system the hard working people rise to the top and the lazy people starve in their own ignorance. in reality it causes money to lead everything and cause a system to become just as corruptable as the Liberal/Democratic group, charge as high as the market will bare or dirt cheap for the sake of competition.

in my opinion i think maybe 80% Conservative and 20% Liberal would make a good system of government

Left Wing | Moderate | Right Wing

Ultra Liberal = Dove ==> Liberal ==> Democrat ==> Moderate <== Republican <== Conservative <== Hawk = Ultra Conservative

Libertarians are in lock step with the GOP on major, important issues.

except where religion comes in.

what suprises me about AT is how many people are ANTI Christian and RIGHT at the same time.

right is still strongly associated with christians in many parts of our country. especially where I grew up in Georgia.

extreme left communism, everyone is part of the national govt.

extreme right facism, where everyone must behave exactly the same as the next person, but there is no central govt.

same thing really.

How do you figure 'religion' is an important issue? Does it cost you money, like national health care would? Does it cost you your retirement, like this lame ass, social security does? Are piles of taxes being poured into it, like our failed social programs? Does it prevent power plants and oil or gas exploration like the left wing greenies?

On a scale of one to ten, how high is religion on the issues scale?

now your just being plain ornery.

religion may not be an important issue for you, but religion does have a significant role in DEFINING RIGHTWING, which this thread is about.

We have generally, Democrats, Libertarians and Republicans. The Libertarians and Republicans are one in the same on major issues. That leaves the Democrats as the odd man out when it really counts.

Conservatives want things to stay the same. Psychologically they are governed by fear. Change is always for the worst.

Liberals want change. Psychologically they are governed by fear. Change couldn't help but make things better.

Libertarians want some stasis and some change. Psychologically they are governed by fear. Some change is for the worse and some couldn't help but make things better.

Conservatives, in order to deal with their fears, made a choice as children to identify with victimizers. Victimizers are the victim product of victimizers

Liberals, in order to deal with their fears, identify with victims. They are the victim company of victims.

Conservatives refuse to see how they hurt people. (edit: because they refuse to see how they have been hurt.)

Liberals refuse to take responsibility for their hurt. (edit: because they refuse to see how they hurt.)

Liberals and conservatives are opposite sides of the same coin. The opposite side of something round is real hard to figure, so like a coin we'll go round and round.

Some have suggested that knowledge opens a door to another world, an exit from the karmic wheel. The yin and yang each contain a spot of the other perhaps to suggest a solution to duality.

I find the Isralels and Palestinians rather interesting. Each is adamant that the other is at fault, so much so that to listen to them argue it's easy to see they are both completely insane and completely unaware of it.

We are all the same.

Edit:
