Left 4 dead survival mode

Anybody know if you can play survival mode offline? I don't seem to be able to . . .

i want to say yes....... i created a game where it was just me and 3 computer players.. but that was with xbox live.. and i auto connect. i didnt try disc then creating the game....

yes you can. Go to after selecting anything(survival, campaign, versus), select play with friends, start your own lobby(x). Go to the option for survival and there you go. You can pick any level and play with a friend
